Ceres’ unique SteelCell metal supported technology is increasingly establishing itself as the global standard for Solid Oxide Cell, combining robustness, efficiency and low manufacturing cost. The SteelCell technology has a wide range of applications in the stationary power, transportation sector as well as the rapidly growing steam electrolysis and E-fuels sector.

Ceres is a spin-off from Imperial College and has over the years become one of the fastest growing clean energy technology companies in the UK. Its customers include world class companies like Bosch, Doosan, Weichai, Delta and others globally.

This talk will highlight the progress of this technology and the fast-growing commercial traction of the Ceres SteelCell applications and the products and plans in the pipeline for clean, efficient power generation and green hydrogen production globally.

Dr. Subhasish Mukerjee is the Chief Scientific Officer at Ceres Power, a leading clean energy technology company in the UK.  He is responsible for the core R&D programs and has worked at Ceres for 12+ years. He is also an honorary Visiting Professor at Imperial College London.

Dr. Mukerjee has extensive (25+ years) experience in clean energy technologies and has worked previously at BP Chemicals and at Delphi Corporation.  He gained his PhD at Yale University and postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University and has published widely in multiple journals and has multiple patents in his field.

In 2023, he was part of the Ceres team that was awarded the prestigious MacRoberts award from the Royal academy of Engineering in the UK.

Fireside Chats are live streamed events held on the occasional Friday afternoon @ 4pm, featuring more of a short presentation or talk, an informal chat and Q&A with the audience.
