Explore the achievements and research activities of the Centre for Transport Studies (CTS), Imperial’s world-leading centre for multidisciplinary transport studies.
Professor Arnab Majumdar, Reader in Transport Risk Management - Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Imperial College London
The faculty comprises academic staff with backgrounds in engineering, economics and mathematics, and around 60 research staff and doctoral students. It has consistently received the highest possible rating for research in all assessment exercises undertaken by the UK Government over the past two decades.
The Centre also includes several specialist research units and enjoys collaborative links with other groups in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, elsewhere in Imperial, other academic institutions and industrial partners.

Professor Majumdar is the Lloyds Register Foundation Reader in Transport Risk Management and the Director of the Transport Risk Management Centre at the Centre for Transport Studies.
This event is part of an exclusive programme of Member-only visits - and we are very fortunate to be able to have this hosted at the College as an in-person event.
The event will take place in the Centre for Transport Studies in the Skempton Building on the campus at South Kensington, Imperial College London. Starting at 6.15pm there will be a welcome and introduction followed by small group visits to various research sections. The event will end with networking and refreshments.
You will be sent a confirmation email upon booking and the day before the event an email will be sent out with the full address, itinerary and any Covid- related guidelines to follow.
