International science tour to Madrid
A bespoke international science tour visiting the leading scientific and research facilities in and around Madrid, including NASA's Deep Space Network.
Join this international science tour which features exclusive group tours and visits with leading experts and professional guides. The itinerary will include visits to:
- European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC)
- Madrid Deep Space Communications Complex (MDSCC), part of NASA's Deep Space Network run by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory
- Spanish Astrobiology Centre, Centro de Astrobiología (CAB)
- Biocomputational Lab, Technical University of Madrid
- There will also be visits to various art galleries including Museo del Prado, Museo Reina Sofia and the Royal Botanical Gardens.
Friends have run similar tours to Darmstadt and Leiden over the last two years which were extremely successful. This will follow the same template. The event fee covers guided tours, museum tickets, accommodation, group dining arrangements and internal transport. Group members will simply need to book their own travel arrangements to and from Madrid.
